We are getting ready for christmas over at Mes Amis and would love to invite you to our late night opening, THURSDAY 22ND NOVEMBER, we are open from 6-9p.m. and will have some delicious mulled wine and christmas food ideas for you to try. well its been a while and mes amis are back again....and what alovely chilly bright autumn day...ive manage to change the shop window with a little 'spice and all things nice' and we are changing our outside catering menus to bring a little autumn blend and flavours to the menu...

we will be having a couple of late night shopping events but dates to follow..i cant believe it will be our 7 christmas at mes amis......we have lots of lovely gifts ideal for all your christmas needs........

our menu we have had lovely chicken broth.....lush beef and chestnut pies.....and lovely sourcream and apple cake with caramel topping...

so, tomorrow we have a mediterranean tomato chicken as our main course, inspired by all of our lovely tanned customers who've just got back from their holidays! also a brocoli soup inspired by the traffic lights that are outside the front door at the moment. should we start selling cakes to the queues of traffic?

Thursday

Hello! Today's menu:

Tomato and roasted pepper soup
Chicken breasts stuffed with garlicky mushrooms in a creamy white wine sauce
Plenty of a freshly baked tarts and focaccia with goats cheese and mascapone!

Wednesday

For main course today we have roasted salmon with fennel and blood orange salad, goats cheese tarts with sweet balsamic onion marmalade and parma ham/mascapone focaccia. We also have pea and basil soup or a chunky vegetable and lamb soup.

Spring is on the way...

So, the sun is shining (well, it would be if it wasn't 10.30p.m.), the bunnies are burrowing and the lambs are skipping around the fields. It's almost Easter and we've got some gorgeous chocolate chickens, chocolate eggs in chocolate egg cups and some beautiful spotted chicken portraits! We've also been baking very special amaretto and chocolate tortes for the shop so come along and have a look!

The window display is a work in progress at the moment but the theme is spring in all its glory!

Today we'll be baking Hummingbird cakes-delicious sponge cakes full of nuts,bananas and pineapples!

bonjour lovely people of Beckington (and the wild beyond...)

So far 2012 has been a great year, there's been some new arrivals to Beckington and to the shop! (a grandson and a nephew to be precise!)
We've got a lovely window display of olive wood at the moment, rustic style fruit bowls and really stylish olive bowls. Food wise tomorrow we've got some citrus cous cous and a lamb tagine, a lovely butternut squash and marscapone soup and some salmon fish cakes!
